My Fall......

Well yesterday (Saturday) when I was doing my 18 mile training run for the Lake Tahoe Marathon, I fell. 1 person stopped to see if I was okay and that was about it. I still had 7 miles to run and yes crazy me finished my run with a bleeding elbow and a gash out of my left hand. I can't remember if I hit my head or not. My water bottle broke. Good thing I run with 2. It was just crazy. It was such a good run. I felt strong and good. 18 miles is a long way to go falling yesterday put a slight damper on my excitement of completing my run. Although I fell I still beat the time I wanted to do my run in. YEAH!

After my run I drove home... I know another crazy thing to do. I didn't feel light headed until I sat down at home. Luckily Kalen was home and kept a good eye on me. I almost passed out in the shower. I pretty much just sat on the couch the rest of Saturday watching Court TV. I must say that they have some pretty interesting shows on forensics. I am feeling a little better today. My right elbow is bruised, swollen and gross and my left hand is bandaged up. I see the doctor on Tuesday because of course the only time they had available on Monday was when I have to take Dylan to therapy. Kids come first sometimes. So wish me luck. No more 18 mile runs until the marathon. yeah! Only three more weeks of training then I'm off to the gym to finish my weight loss program. Hopefully I won't fall there!

Whee........

Mommy and Daddy gave Brianna a slide for her birthday. After Kalen put it together he put it in the playroom and Brianna had at it. She loves it! She has spent the majority of this evening playing on the slide. Now she has something to play with outside. Yeah!!!!!!!!

What goes up, must go down..........

Let's Party

We gathered with family and Brianna's "special" people that are involved in her life to celebrate her birthday. We had lots of fun. I made Brianna cake with some help. I was pretty proud that it didn't turn out to look like a blob. Brianna got lots of great gifts. We wish that Grandpa and Grandma Bjurstrom lived closer so they could have celebrated with us. Hopefully one day Uncle Kyle and Aunt Kaci will live closer too.

Can I have a kiss?

Dylan is such a happy boy. We love his smile and laugh.

Mommy and her princess Brianna.

Joan Reed and Grandma Faulconer

Joan is very special to us. She is Dylan's helper at church. She takes him to his class and stays with him and helps him participate. We are so blessed to have her in our lives! She a surrogate grandma to our kids!

Dylan is sitting up with some support provided by daddy but for the most part all by himself for a few seconds at a time. He is making lots of progress! What a big boy.

Brianna and her favorite person besides Mommy and Daddy of course!

We played Guitar Hero II while we waited for everyone to arrive. My friend Stacie had never played it before, but was hooked. She's a rock star!

The Cake!

Papa helped Brianna open presents. She got lots of them. Thanks everyone that was there.

Cousin MaryEllen loved helping Brianna open her gifts. Brianna got a play shopping cart. She loves it!

Grandpa and Grandma Faulconer got Brianna her first tricycle and a mini swimming pool. She was so excited!

Mommy, Lori, Brianna, Grandma Faulconer and sleeping baby Henry.
Thanks everyone for making Brianna's special. She got some great gifts that will hopefully keep her busy for awhile!

Had your frosting for the day?.........

I made Brianna cupcakes for her birthday. Kalen had to go out of town for work so I figured I'd just make her cupcakes so she would have something sweet to eat for her birthday treat. I knew it was going to get messy. Brianna started of very dainty eating her cupcake but by the end........

Licking the frosting off of her arm.

Not too much of a mess. Pretty good for a 2 year old.

My Baby is 2

I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Brianna is now 2. It seems like just yesterday she was born.

Happy Birthday Brianna

Brianna turned 2 on August 30th. I know I'm a little behind on my posts but hopefully one of these days I'll get caught up. Stephanie brought Brianna her present. She got a bunch of Color Wonder markers and a Stuffed Nemo. Brianna loves to color and is currently in love with the movie, "Finding Nemo". Brianna doesn't pronounce Nemo right and it sounds so funny.

Nemo nows goes everywhere with us.

Family Night

We drove up to the Sacramento Temple last Monday to take some family pictures on the Temple grounds. It was really warm when we went. We loaded up in the car and took the 20 minutes drive. We are so blessed to be able to have a Temple so close. I've been wanting to have some family pictures taken and I figured that this would be a nice quiet, peaceful setting. Which it was. Brianna loved looking at everything, especially the flowers and Dylan loved listening to the fountain. We were really glad to be able to go and spend some family time together. Grandma Faulconer came with us also. It was fun having her there.

Our happy boy Dylan!

Kalen and his princess

Me and my two favorite kids!
Brianna trying not to listen to us. She thought she was pretty funny.

Brianna smelling the flowers. She makes the cutest sniff when she is smelling flowers.

Grandma giving Brianna a kiss. It took 3 times for the pictures to turn out.

Kalen and his favorite buddy. Don't you just love his smile?

Our cute little girl.

We can't believe we've been married 5 years. We are still happy:)

Daddy leading his little girl

Dylan was trying to figure out why there was something heavy on his lap. Brianna loves being close to Dylan.

Fairy Princess Ball

Brianna started gymnastics a few weeks back and they hosted a Fairy Princess Ball for all the girls. Stephanie made Brianna her princess dress. It's so cute and she did such a great job. Brianna loves her dress!

Say cheese....... Brianna loves the camera!

Brianna doesn't like wearing anything on her head so I was interested to see what she was going to do with my tiara when I put it on her head. She wasn't too happy and really didn't want to smile for the camera.

Brianna loves to jump on the running trampoline (I can't remember the technical term) This was part of the "Fairy wing testing" booth. Brianna was trying to figure out why so many people were at Tricks.

Look we have twins! Brianna was a little cautious of Cinderella, but did eventually sit on her lap for the picture.

Our Queen.............

We had a fun time meeting the different princesses, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Tinkerbell, and a few others (I can't remember though). We had a fun mommy, daddy, and Brianna trip. Dylan sat this one out and stayed home with Stephanie. It was fun being able to spend some quality time with Brianna.
