skin care

All right fellow blog readers..... I have a question for you. What kind of skin care products or regimen do you use?? I've been using Clinique products for years, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. My skin has been breaking out a lot lately and doesn't look fabulous at all. When it comes to makeup, I feel like my makeup does keep that fresh look. Do you know what I mean??? I've never been able to wear lipstick for more than like an hour, but if I use those "long" lasting kind my lips dry out.

Okay next skin area.... what body wash do you use? I've been on the hunt for something for awhile. So any help would be appreciated....

I have to say Lisa, Nicole and Laurie have fabulous skin!!!!

  2. I have horrible skin, so I have no advice on skin care to offer you, but I do notice that I am breaking out less since I quit using MAC make up and started using Bare Escentuals make up.

Sorry. That is all I've got.

  4. My answer is complicated and probably not useful...so here it goes. Just what you wanted, right?
When I can I use Mary Kay's Timewise collection to help fight the signs of aging.:)
When I don't use Mary Kay, I use cheap stuff. Like right now I have Dove in my shower. I have always been a fan of astringent so I use that often, especially when I don't want to really wash my face.
As for makeup, I use a variety. I have some Mary Kay, some Ulta, and come Almay, Amway, whatever that is. It depends on my mood and how much time I have on which one I use. I never wear lipstick. I used to and it was Mary Kay with their coordinating lip gloss and liner and now I just stick to lip gloss and chap stick.
Okay. So maybe not so complicated, but probably not that useful since I'm all over the place.
I am not really pleased with my make up. I have like it when people have that "pretty makeup look" and I can't seem to obtain that. Do you know what I mean? I think my skin tone just isn't right for what I'm looking for or I just haven't found the right colors.
P.s. I got your sealed envelope from Liz today. Thanks. I am excited to go.

  7. I agree, Bare Essentials can be a little pricy, but it stays on all day and is light on your face. I have never been able to use foundation, it looks like crap on me. But this stuff covers my zits, wrinkles, & evens out my skin tone.

I hate lipstick, so can't help you out on that.
Clean & Clear has always been my fav for product, Bath & Body works shower gel for the shower. Good luck!

  8. I just started using the Avon Mineral makeup and I love it. It is only $10, they also have blush and eyeshadow. As for skincare I am currently using biorre pore cleansing scrub. I just use whatever body wash is on sale.

  11. Hey Francesca,
I used to use Mary Kay and it worked great for years. It just stopped working for me though. I now use Proactiv. I've been using it for the last few years, it's the best! I also use Bare Escentials. It's really light and you can't really 'see' that you're wearing it. The 1st time can be pricey, but I find I don't go through it as quickly as any other brand I've used. I only have to buy it every 4-5 months. As for body wash my sister got me hooked on SoftSoap Pomegranite and Mango, it smells yummy! I'm really tempted to start reading Twilight, but I'm trying to hold out until we can get everything unpacked & painted. We'll see how that goes...
